Sunday morning run

I am quite proud of myself today, running 4.5 miles is something that I did not think I would be doing a year ago.

When I started running last August I did so because the vision of becoming older, less fit, less mobile and dependant on other people scares me to death. I think women spend so much caring for others that we often forget that one day, we will need care ourselves.

So I started running. First I tried the NHS app Couch to 5k but it was just too hard, too fast. I then looked for alternatives and found None to Run. It was exactly what I needed, it starts off really easy and can be adapted individually. There is a N2R Facebook group which is the most supportive group I have ever come across.
