My 58th Birthday

Today is my 58th Birthday. My oldest son sent me the card and the Bonsai growing kit, which I thought was such a lovely idea! I also got two small videos from my grand-daughters saying ‘Happy Birthday’…I wish this stupid pandemic would end so I could go and see them.

Yesterday was enrolment day! So, I am finally enrolled in the PhD. I also opted to do two research training courses. One in Term 1, Research design, practice and ethics, and one in Term 2, Philosophy of Social Science Research. I opted for the full versions which means I have to do the written assignments but that will be good as it will ‘convince’ me to pay attention and focus.

I also got confirmation today that I will be able to work a three day week. Which means I will be able to have a secure income and keep paying pension while I study. Everything is coming together, it is simply amazing.
